MG Motor Nepal has announced that it plans to add DC 30 kW fast chargers at nine places across the country. The upcoming fast charging stations will be established at Bardibas, Birgunj, Pokhara, Hetauda, Naubise, Kohalpur, Lamahi (Dang), Attariya and Gaighat. MG currently has eight DC chargers in Butwal, Kurintar, Kusunti, Dhalkebar, Mulkot, Oliz Store (Itahari), and Oliz Store (Birtamode).MG Motor has cemented its position as one of the most popular EV brands in the country with the ZS EV. MG currently offers the ZS EV in two motor power options (99 kW and 115 kW). The 99 kW ZS EV is available in two variants - Comfort and Deluxe, while the 115 kW ZS EV is available in a single long-range variant only.The 99 kW ZS EV is equipped with a 99 kW motor to deliver 280 Nm maximum torque while its 51kwh battery capacity gives a range of 320km (WLTP)* on a single charge. The electric car can be charged up to 80% within 30 minutes with 8 years warranty for the battery.Similarly, it comes with safety features like 6 airbags, ESP, EAB, HDC, Auto hold, etc. In terms of features, it gets a panoramic sunroof, a 10.1-inch infotainment system with DAB radio and Bluetooth, a 7-inch driver’s digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charging, keyless entry, a six-speaker 3D sound system, a six-way driver and four-way front passenger electrical adjustable leather power seats with heating, two ISOFIX child seat anchorage points (outer rear seats), 60/40 folding rear seats, and roof rails, etc.The 115 kW ZS EV, on the other hand, is available in a long-range 72.6 kWh battery with a range of 440 KM (WLTP cycle). It is powered by a PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) with a power of 115 kW and 280 Nm of torque.In terms of features, it gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a 7-inch digital driver's display identical. It has a rotary-dial gear knob, driving mode, regeneration braking, electrically adjustable driver's seat, vehicle 2 load discharging, PM 2.5 air filter and wireless charging etc. The new ZS EV adopts MG's signature global design cues and comes loaded with features such as a panoramic sunroof, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, all-LED lighting and more.The 2022 MG ZS EV has a high level of safety partly due to the extensive range of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) with automatic emergency braking, grouped together under the name MG Pilot assistance system. The electric SUV also comes equipped with automatic headlights and wipers, connected car technology, six airbags, hill start and descent control, adaptive cruise control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and electronic stability control.
